Description

NOM Indium Sulfide Quantum Dots (QDs) are tuned to provide fluorescent  emission in the visible region of the spectrum (520 nm to 680nm) at 20 nm intervals.  These QDs provide an alternative to more toxic Cadmium based QDs for many applications.  The InP/ZnSe/ZnS core/shell QDs have high Quantum Yields (brightness) with narrow bandwidths varying from 40 nm to 65 nm, increasing with fluorescent emission wavelength.  Our standard, organic soluble,  quantum dots are surface coated with organic surfactants that make them lipophilic and soluble in organic solvents such as toluene, chloroform, and hexane.(Water soluble InP/ZnSe/ZnS QDs are also available)

For applications where the toxicity of Cd based Quantum dots (QDs) limits their use, NanoOptical Materials offers Cd Free Quaternary Quantum Dots  composed of CuInZnS cores surrounded by a shell of ZnS  to obtain fluorescent emission over the spectral region of 640 to 760 nm. They may be ordered in weights of 10, 25, 50, and 100 mg starting at $195.  They are normally dispersed in toluene, but other solvents are available by request.
