In Oct 2015, Nanooptical Materials expanded its product line to include an inventory of Cd free (non-toxic) quantum dots in the form of CuInZnS/ZnS nanocrystals. These QDs have fluorescent emission wavelengths tunable over the range of 540 nm to 660 nm.
In the summer of 2015, we began an OEM supply relationship with a major customer to provide quantum dots for an exciting new application.
In Oct 2013 we introduced PbS/CdS core/shell quantum dots to our product line to extend the near infrared fluorescent wavelengths of our QDs to the range of 900 m to 1000 nm.
In June 2013, NOM added to our product inventory a series of improved near infrared fluorescent quantum dots based on a core/shell structure of PbS/CdS. These QDs have narrow band fluorescent emission over the range of 900 to 1000 nm. The CdS shell on the PbS QDs enhance brightness and wavelength stability relative to commercially available core only PbS QDs.
In February 2013, Nanooptical Materials moved into a new facility in Carson, CA. Our new business park location allows plenty of room for manufacturing and development and provides us the the ability to add space as we grow in the future.
