Description
For applications where the toxicity of Cd based Quantum dots (QDs) limits their use, NanoOptical Materials offers Cd Free Quaternary Quantum Dots composed of CuInZnS cores surrounded by a shell of ZnS. These Cd Free QDs share the nearly ideal luminescent properties of other QDs because of their high brightness, strong optical absorbance over a wide excitation wavelength range, photostability and defined emission spectra. We provide CuInZnS/ZnS core/shell QDs to achieve fluorescent emission over the spectral region of 640 to 760 nm (selectable at 20 nm intervals). These CuInZnS/ZnS QDs have larger FWHM bandwidths (95 to 125 nm) and Quantum Yields from 40% to 70%. (InP/ZnSe/ZnS core shell Cd free QDs are available to provide fluorescent emission over the spectral range of 520 to 620 nm).
The organic soluble forms of these quantum dots are surface coated with surfactants that make them lipophilic and dispersable in organic solvents such as toluene, chloroform, and hexane. These high quality Cd Free CuInZnS/ZnS core/shell QDs are available starting at $145. They are normally dispersed in toluene but other solvents are available by request. Please see the product code and links in the description table below to see specifications and spectra. (Water soluble forms are also available.)
