Nearly all of our Quantum Dots (QDs) are available in both water soluble and organic soluble form. These QDs include visible CdSe/ZnS QDs having narrow band fluorescent emission at wavelengths ranging from 540 nm to 680 nm, highly luminescent Near infrared (NIR) CdSeTe/ZnS core/shell complexes (emission range 700 nm to 880 nm) as well as improved PbS/CdS NIR Quantum Dots that  have fluorescent emission wavelengths from 900 nm to 1000 nm.

NOM Water Soluble Quantum Dots are coated with a layer of one of three hydrophilic surfactants.  Our QDs can be ordered with surfactant coatings that have a terminal group that is either a carboxylic acid, a primary amine, or a diol (two adjacent hydroxyl groups). These groups allow covalent linking to a wide range of (bio)molecules.

Applications of water soluble quantum dots include fluorescent biolabels for in vivo imaging, fluorescent immunoassay, and multiplexed biomedical assays.
